Mark Weber, President
Mr. Weber is the President of Triple Net. He has sourced and actively participated in the due diligence, closing, and post transaction monitoring, growth, and sale of more than $1.3 billion of operating company transactions and $540 million of real estate transactions. IRR's on invested equity have exceeded 47.1% (on invested equity of $325 million) for operating company transactions and 22.3% (on invested equity of $130 million) for real estate transactions. Mark has formed partnerships with a number of internationally recognized real estate and investment investors, including Sam Zell, Kimco Realty, Sun Capital, Gryphon Investors, Sandy Sigoloff, and Nicolas Berggruen. He has led the acquisition of more than 150 commercial properties, raising over $400 million of senior and mezzanine capital from both public and private sources -- overseeing due diligence, legal, property management, and sale. Mark has also successfully led over 20 operating company transactions including multiple take privates raising over $1 billion of senior, mezzanine, and unsecured debt; implementing numerous operational initiatives; overseeing intricate legal matters during both acquisition and sale; and serving in active oversight roles. Mark received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Stanford University, graduating Phi Beta Kappa, and his Juris Doctor and Masters of Business Administration from Harvard Law School and Harvard Business School.
Bryan Norton, Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Norton directs the company's day-to-day affairs. He also oversees all legal, due diligence,and compliance matters for the company. Bryan spent many years in private law practice at some of the nation's leading law firms and is a former Vice President and Senior Counsel for Select Portfolio Servicing, Inc., a Credit Suisse Company. Bryan has been involved in all aspects of real estate transactions and complex financial matters, and was routinely responsible for interacting with and responding to federal and state regulators. His representations have included: an international investment bank in connection with a state agency's failure to honor its obligations under multi-billion dollar governmental construction contracts; a large commercial builder in numerous matters associated with various shopping center construction projects; a REIT with respect to its disposition of a large portfolio of commercial properties; and numerous financial institutions in connection with financial matters, high-value commercial and residential foreclosures, and bankruptcy workouts. Bryan received his Bachelor of Arts from Brigham Young University, cum laude and with University Honors. He received his Juris Doctor from the Law School at the University of Pennsylvania, where he was the recipient of the James Wilson Scholarship.
Brian Garbutt, Principal
Mr. Garbutt is responsible for leading Triple Net's business development efforts. He has specialized in the sale and leasing of office/industrial buildings since 1996 with Lee & Associates Commercial Real Estate, a National Real Estate Firm. Brian has been a principal of Lee & Associates since 1999 and has consistently been a top producer in his office and the Orange County, California real estate market. In his career, Brian has completed over $2 billion in real estate sales and over 1,400 commercial leases. Brian received his Bachelor of Science from the University of California, Davis.
